Lido del Sole is a fraction of the municipality of Olbia, located in the province of Sassari, which is about a hundred kilometers. The locality has a tourist character, as can be seen from the residential complexes that have been built there.
The most famous and popular beach is Lido del Sole, which can be reached by land or by sea, with inflatable boats and small boats. Pretty coves, called Punta delle Saline beach, are present around the promontory that anticipates the long and sandy beach of Saline, once a bay frequented mainly by the citizens of Olbia, which now go to Pittulongu, another famous beach located on the coastal road to Golfo Aranci.
Lido del Sole can be reached from the port of Olbia along the coastal road SS125 in the direction of Siniscola-Nuoro, past Olbia-Mare. Here you will also find a dog beach, but also markets and restaurants offering fish specialties. The coast of Lido del Sole is characterized by turquoise waters and medium-high seabed, some stretches are not supervised.
A short distance from the village, Murta Maria, is Porto Istana, a seaside resort whose beaches offer all the services bathers. In the area we recommend an excursion to the banks of the river Padrongianus, now a river park, and one to the islands of Tavolara and Molara, accessible by ferry from Porto San Paolo, six kilometers from Lido del Sole.
